Added 2023-07-06 21:43:09 +0000 UTCWe're off to an amazing start, and I never expected the focus (at the least for the start) of this season to be on Gojo and his complicated backstory with Geto! Definitely something I've been wanting to learn a lot more about ever since finishing Season 1 and especially the JJK 0 Movie. While I won't lie that the context for the current new objective was a little hard to follow so far, I'm very eager to see where we go from here!

Aaah ok so this isn't necessarily the hype part yet everybody is excited for. Well I'm still curious to see what caused the change in Geto's mentality!

2023-07-08 07:08:46 +0000 UTCWithout spoiling anything, this season should be 2 arcs from the manga, the first one is a gojo backstory arc, which I agree was quite a jarring shift in narrative after the end of season 1 but it was like that in the manga too, the second part is the Shibuya incident arc where we’ll shift back to the present timeline with itadori ( also the arc all the manga readers have been waiting for )

2023-07-07 02:45:36 +0000 UTC- Mei Mei and Iori Utahime (The girls in the haunted mansion) were introduced in the Exchange Event with Kyoto school, both of them were judges while sitting and watching everything through cameras that if I remember correctly were managed by Mei Mei somehow, you will remember her for being the girl who always talks about money. Utahime is the teacher of the Kyoto students and in that event you could see that she doesn't like Gojo very much haha. Gojo asked both of them separately to investigate the higher-ups as there was a possibility that someone on the inside is working with a Cursed User (evil sorcerer). - Ieiri Shouko (the girl who completes the trio with Gojo and Getou) is the doctor who checked Itadori's body when he "died" and it seems to me that in JJK 0 there were some references to her being close to Getou as well. - Utahime told Mei that he deserved a promotion after that and she responded by asking her how much money she had saved up and ended up saying she would think about it, this is because to be promoted you need the recommendation of a higher ranking sorcerer and Mei would be that recommendation that's why she wanted to charge her lol. - Master Tengen was mentioned in the attack during the Exchange Event, he is the one in charge of the barriers. Mahito left a Sukuna finger with a certain "trace" in Junpei's house (which ended in his mother's death) so that when Itadori found it, it would be placed with the others that the school had so that he could find them more easily without having problems with the barrier, as if I remember correctly it was a barrier that changed the entrance to the store and was impossible to trace. - Getou's philosophy in the first season is contrary to the one shown here, he thinks in the superiority of the sorcerers and in creating a world only for them, or something like that haha I don't remember well. But in the movie there is already a flashback of a dialogue between him and Gojo in which he seems to be just as he tells him in this episode. So I guess in this story arc we'll see how his mentality changed and what it was due to. That's all I could remember to make this episode easier to follow, but I think I overdid it haha. Great reaction.

2023-07-06 23:06:28 +0000 UTCAhh yeah I wondered if Shoko was someone I'd know as well. Yeah this show has a suuuper large cast of characters honestly. I guess the amount of details do make it quite rewarding for those that try to follow everything as best as possible.

And just to confirm and give context: Mei-Mei was shown in both JJK1 and JJK0, Utahime is part of the Kyoto School in JJK1 and Shoko is the doctor who evaluated Yuji's body in JJK1. Otherwise, excited to see the rest of the season. But I agree it is quite hard to follow each detail every step of the way.
