I misspoke, I meant it's a type of character that is known to almost everyone who watches anime regularly. Obviously in this case it's not romantic (although the ambiguity is still present anyway) but I was speaking in general.

But in Yuri's case it's mostly admiration, bcs Yor is his older sister, but she's also played the role of a mother to him and that she did absolutely everything for him even came home bleeding, he developed a real admiration (in a weird way ok) but it's not romantic, especially since when Yor was introduced, he wanted her to get married

So it's usually best to just laugh it off and ignore it lol.
