It amazes me that No Game No Life has a PG-13 rating. Seems like the rating board or committee or whatever agreed with Sora that it was a "super wholesome space".

You basically always have to choose between accurate meaning, or accurate game mechanics, which generally leads to either not knowing what the game is, or not knowing what's actually happening. As I mentioned in the discord a while back, someone made a reddit link with the accurate meanings of each word (https://www.reddit.com/r/NoGameNoLife/comments/2caa7d/what_do_these_words_from_materialization/cjdoo8g/), which I found very helpful, since some of those translations were uhh, really out there (Hooter-Nub????).

2023-10-04 17:26:31 +0000 UTCIn the version with Spanish subtitles that I watched, they put the word and in brackets the original word in Japanese so it was easy to see the connection of the words and understand exactly what appeared or disappeared, I thought there would be a similar version in English. But this translation was quite good.

This was the only one where the subtitles were edited onto the screen where the japanese text is. I think everyone who watched your reaction to the first two episodes noticed the clusterfuck of subtitles at some points. Even though this version required me to edit each episode and cut down some transition cards from the original airing, which isn't there anymore at all other streaming sites, to not throw off the timer for anyone... But in the end, it was still not perfect... For the word-chain the translations sacrificed understandability for correctly re-implementing the game rules in english (next word has to begin with the letter of the last word). I was stupid and didn't check this scene in this version. I think these two scenes make more sense to you, if you watch it knowing the actual words. 11:36 Pussy (manko) 12:04 Nipple (chikubi)

There is no "stimulation" of what would be normally considered "private parts", so it's not a sexual activity and doesn't have to be censored lol At least to my understanding. I hope I don't spread bullshit here.
