(51:00): Both Emilia and Puck can make the ice blooms. But Emilia can't control it, and Puck has been trying to hide Emilia's existance, so he's been claiming that Emilia's ice blooms are his own. (55:45): Apperently in the novels, Melakuera goes on this big rant about how he belives Emilia to be the reincarnation of the Witch of Envy and how history is circular and has expereinced the world's downfall endless times or something. (1:03:00): Lets just say that Puck has a complicated past as well. (1:03:45): Some background on oaths and contracts and such. There are 3 types of Promises in Re:Zero. Contracts, Oaths, and Covenants. I'm not 100% sure about this stuff, since it's only really mentioned breifly. But as I understand it, a contract is the lowest tier of promise, and are generally honor bound (so you can break it, the other side will just likely also break their side when they find out). Now this is also what generally binds spirits to spirit arts users, so I think for them it's more binding. Oaths on the other hand can be magically backed and are bound to the soul of the people involved (or something). This is sort of like a smart contract where if one side breaks it, something will happen to them. Covenants are Oaths, but apply to your entire your entire bloodline. A notable Covenant is the one between the Dragon and the Royal Family of Lugunica to protect the kingdom. It applies to all the descendents of the royal family, and is why the royal family dying out is a big deal since the Covenant no longer applies. Notably Crusch is against signing a new Covenant with the Dragon, hence her take back the kingdom stance.
