Don't worry about the long intros. As you mentioned, there's a lot going on, and most of it doesn't make much sense yet. (6:40): Some translation stuff here. Echidna uses "Boku" as her pronoun, which is super weird in Japanese, since "Boku" is a boys pronoun (usually used by young males under like the age of like 15, it's complicated, but it's basically always masculine). It stands out a lot in Japanese, kinda like if baseballlover723 would start referring to himself in the 3rd person. (7:55): The bodily fluid is probably saliva. (10:50): Some cut content here: Subaru does actually ask Echidna some questions here. He asks about the Witch Cult's Archibishops. To which Echidna basically responds, who are they? So Subaru just looks to leave to check up on Emilia, who has just fainted last time he saw here. Also worth noting that Echidna herself mentioned that she lacks knowledge about the present (but that her knowledge of the past is unrivialed), and since she doens't know about the Archbishops, she doesn't know how to fix Rem, and given that that she died 400 years, she must not have any relevant answers, since you know, a lot has changed in 400 years. (11:45): Another translation thing here. The "trial" that Echidna talks about and the "ordeal" that Petalguese talked about last season are actually the same word in Japanese. Just something to note. (15:40): I don't even know how you're supposed to tell someone that they have an identical twin that they never knew about. But also Ram doesn't ask about Rem here, which also happened in late arc 3, which was also asleep for. :( (16:50): So uhh, Subaru doesn't remember the conversation with Echidna. This is brought up in a few episodes that you've already watched, but in case it wasn't clear then. Echidna didn't want Subaru to tell anyone about their conversation, and rather then trust him to not tell people, she just made him forget about everything, since you can't leak secrets you don't remember. (18:00): So this may not of been very clear, but Subaru, Ram, Roswaal and all of the villagers can physically leave, but they're currently being held hostage by the demihumans who can't physically leave, until Emilia does the trial. I'll talk more about this later. Oh and I almost forgot. Echidna is not an elf.

Daphne, Witch of Gluttony: Created beasts that defied the will of God to save the world from starvation Carmilla, Witch of Lust: who granted emotions to non-human beings in an attempt to fill the world with love Minerva, Witch of Wrath: who hurt in hopes of healing as she lamented the state of her war-torn world Sekhmet, Witch of Sloth: who drove the dragon past the great waterfall just for a chance to rest Typhon, Witch of Pride: out of youthful innocence and cruelty, judged criminals one after another Echidna, Witch of Greed: the embodiment of the thirst for knowledge, who has done things she regrets, even in the realm of death, all in pursuit of all types of knowledge Satella, Witch of Envy: Killed all the other witches and used them as sustenance while she made the whole world her enemy -- the most detestable of them all Now you can already see the the results of 2 of these actions, which you probably won't guess. It's not super important, but its some good worldbuilding. If you want to know you reply here or on discord and I'll tell you which 2 and what they did. One of them won't be brought up later, and probably won't ever be explicitly called out (though maybe it might in like a decade or 2).
