One of the most impactful things for me was when Captain Miller says "Earn this" to Ryan in the end.. It feels like he is talking to all of us watching.. Like he is telling all of us to not waste the fruits of the sacrifice that all of these soldiers made for us to live free from Nazi tyranny today..

It makes it so much heavier to know so many died because some brass decided it would be a bad look to bring in so many sons and let a mothers lose them all. Really was a PR mission in a sense. Also if you havent seen Inglorious Bastards its a very good WW2 movie by Tarantino.
