It’s funny because this was a total case of you “doing the wrong work but still getting the right answer” The shining ami a few episodes ago had a sort of throw away line of “I’m gonna peek on Ryuk” meaning he was gonna join the other shinigamis in watching him but you interpreted it as he was gonna go in the human world to rattle the cage. While there is now a new shinigami, just understand it’s not the one you were seeing from those episodes ago ! I feel like it’ll help with any confusion going forward !
