You’re like half right on how curses work, jujutsu kaisen has a pretty complex power system, far more than something like demon slayer, a lot of abilities and curses can’t be explained simply by this person/object is cursed, the show does a pretty good job of explaining it as it progresses but some of the later stuff gets pretty complex

In terms of the episode, there is a lot of plot and world building still to happen so just be sponge and absorb. Excited for the third first year introduction!
