Ohhh yeah that makes sense. As long as the percentage loss you're making on the products is less than the percentage value increase of the silver coins then you're making more. Thanks for explaining!

The domestic value of the old and new coin will stay the same (because you can exchange them 1:1), but the foreign value of the coin is based on the silver amount. So, if you knew that this change would be happening soon, you could sell products at a "loss" to stockpile coins, when you know the value of those coins will increase.
