So about whether Holo is a god or not, thats sort of a theme and question thats asked of you the viewer or reader. What exactly is a god? Holo can make the wheat grow and transform to a wolf and has all these abilities. To you and me, that seems to make her a god. To the villagers in the town, she is the goddess Holo. As far as shes concerned, shes just a wise wolf. She doesn't think of herself as a god,even though others have worshiped her as one. Also, whats the nature of a god? Is she still a "god" now that theres a new religion in town? Its philosophical questions the story asks you the viewer/reader to consider
