Lets be real, this was a win for Rimuru and a loss for Hinata. She was trying to kill him and he was just trying to get away. She failed and he succeeded despite all the preparation and advantages she was able to give herself. He did not defeat her in battle, but she did not complete her objective. It is at least a draw. I am always interested in the Rimuru vs Hinata outside of Holy Field discussion. After the fight he says he still probably would have lost even outside the barrier, but we know how much Rimuru loves to underestimate himself. Likely because of how quickly he has gained strength, he just hasn't adjusted to it yet. My personal opinion is that they are super close in combat ability at this point. I have a few reasons for this. We know that the barrier over Tempest is weaker than the barrier Hinata used to weaken Rimuru. Yet this inferior barrier still weakened Hakurou and Shion enough to be basically no-diffed by the Otherworlders even though they are normally obviously significantly stronger. Yet under a more powerful barrier, Rimuru still made Hinata get a little serious, he disarmed her of her weapon and forced her to use Disintegration to "win." I acknowledge that Rimuru has no defense for Holy Magic at this point, but who is to say he actually gets hit by it if he isn't weakened? That long ass chant is necessary for Hinata to cast Disintegration, and if Rimuru is not weakened there is no way she can bind him for long enough to cast it. Great Sage is also a very good counter to a Skill that Hinata used in this fight but was not outlined in the anime. Let us also not forget that Rimuru could not use Magic Sense under the barrier so he was relying on ordinary human senses when he usually has a better version. Using Black Flame, Black Thunder and Gluttony offensively actually gives him options to damage Hinata but here he is not trying to kill her, he just wants to escape. Basically, this is a long comment saying if they were both going all out without the barrier, it could go either way lol but Rimuru would never try to kill Hinata so this puts him at a permanent disadvantage

The story goes that they didn't know there'd be a second season so they skipped all the intervening setup at the end of the first season. ...... Coming up with great names for monsters isn't something I would call Rimuru's strongest talent. ..... The blob that Rimuru became was him letting Gluttony run wild. It's the personification of Gluttony. It was able to be triggered partly because this form sucks in matter and turns them into magicules to fuel the transformation. If Hinata had stuck nearby she too might have been absorbed. ..... The spell Disintegration is the strongest offensive single-caster holy magic spell. Since holy magic doesn't operate using magicules, in fact is disruptive to them, Hinata was able to cast it within the barriers. ..... Rimuru made that speech and made a show afterwards to distract Hinata and fool her so she wouldn't suspect anything after the fact. ..... The cave. This cave is the cave where Veldora was sealed. It's close to Tempest. ...... Multilayer Barrier is a series of protective barriers with different protections that can be placed on oneself. It is one of a range of Skills that stronger monsters tend to have. Before Rimuru passed through the barriers surrounding Rimuru (the city), you see where he placed them on himself. Many people have these types of self-protective barriers on all the time. ..... Mjollmile is there because Rimuru invited him to trade in his city, and it's been some time since we've seen him actually. There is some serious time compression in this part of the anime especially, where time passed and we aren't really made aware. Anyway, Rimuru actually opens a transport gate so the merchants are evacuated without them having to use the roads.
