But there is a separate web novel: "Old Dragon's Tale (古龍の昔話 - Kotatsu no Mukashibanashi) is a an origin story of the character who would later be known as the legendary Demon-Dragon King Laplace and how the ancient worlds were felled by the Dragon God." I've not yet read it myself. I wonder if it contains any spoilers for MT, otherwise might be an interesting read you could do rn. Also not that long. (~7hours of read time I guess)
