This episode is really the first time, other than the fight against Hinata, that Rimuru uses his Replication Skill extensively. There are subtle differences in terminology so I may be calling things by the wrong names, but it will be enough to generally explain things. Different people's versions of a replication Skill are not all the same. They can't all do the same things. For example, Souei's replicants can act independently of each other. Rimuru has to supervise each active one, and he can't be too far from them. I don't think he can make as many copies as Souei can, and the copies are inferior to the original. The latter is also true of Souei's.

In Tempest, the foremost practitioner of an Art is Hakurou. This series, Visions of Coleus, has a few loose ends and inconsistencies that are a little hard to integrate into lore of the main series. I'll mention some of them at the third OVA. But relevant at this point is that the Demon Lord Valentine they are referring to is the male vampire replacement Demon Lord, not Luminus. Demon Lord Valentine is seen as a constant opponent of humankind. Charm is a Skill all vampires share.

2024-07-22 13:57:15 +0000 UTCSorry, that was a big spoiler. Although you could speculate. Not everyone has gotten so close to getting it right as you have, so maybe it seems obvious to you. You still can't possibly guess the whole story without more information, so I will have to content myself with that. ...................... About Rimuru's past life affecting his present one. Mushoku Tensei is, I would say, one story in which the MC's past life has a huge effect on the story, probably more that any I have seen in anime. The effect is pervasive, while at most, other stories may only exert a more superficial influence on the character. I think Rimuru's past personality, though, is one where he was and is particularly resilient. He always moves forward, and he adapts. Few events traumatize him to the point of being unable to act, or can twist his character, even though there may be subtle effects. His way of handling people hasn't really changed. He was mature enough before to feel comfortable with himself and others, except for a few quirks here and there. Rudeus is a much more damaged character. Conversely, Rimuru always says, he'll do what he can do, it's what he's always done, and it's what he'll always do.
