So yeah, Shikamaru used the shuriken as a distraction to make the sound girl focus on it, while the point was to swing back fast using the shuriken as a reason for it. Since shadow possesion makes the other person do the same moves, the girl also swings back and hits her head on the wall, which was Shikamaru's plan. Well done spotting his smartness.

2024-08-01 07:24:25 +0000 UTCNah, she calls them "hoshi" which literally means star. Tho somewhat wierd to call them stars, makes sense considering stars are round. The dub calls them moons because it makes somewhat more sense looking at them lol.

2024-08-01 07:21:13 +0000 UTCFun fact the temari vs tenten fight was way shorter in the manga it starts with the proctor starting the match then it cut immediately to the end of the match when tenten falls on the fan. Also I'm pretty sure the circles on the fan are supposed to be moons, at least in English, the subtitles calling them stars might just be a mistranslation
