Yes, exactly! The full sealing and protective properties of the wetsuit make the divers almost invulnerable. The only weakness is the rebreather hoses, and even those are hard to reach in a fight. Damaging the breathing system is a slow way to take the frogwoman out of action; she might not even immediately notice that the rebreather has stopped working.

Although the guard was initially alarmed at having her own military-grade knife stolen, she wasn't entirely sure whether the advanced weapon would pierce her armored dive suit. Good thing for her, her self-contained neoprene cocoon is made of some tough stuff and is as pleasureable to wear as it is protective! It was a good try by the freediver, she didnt know any better, even if she should have gone for the head (hoses). Without an air valve to mess with, these armored frogwomen are probably not as easy to disable as our beloved Dharma.

For me, the role reversal is more about an unexpected plot twist rather than super dominance over a dominant figure. I'm more of a fetishist, as I really enjoy seeing women in those types of outfits. While domination is a very close theme, it's not exactly my main focus. So, thanks again for sharing the theory—it’s definitely insightful!

I thought I might share some details on how BDSM works in the context of the theme of the comics: A humiliation fantasy works on the idea that the top (strong/proud/arrogant/predator/dominant /powerful) characters are reduced to a bottom (helpless/plaything/trophy/objectified/expendable) state. This shift in the power dynamic is further enhanced with the former top becoming the bottom and the former bottom becoming the top. This power dynamic shift can be concluded with the new top finishing off the new bot in an accidental/trivial/casual/nonchalant way. In the context of scuba peril stories that would mean the menacing/well equipped/evil divers get overwhelmed by the helpless swimmers who finish them off in a playful/casual manner with minimal input. So, for example tying up the evil divers and drowning one by opening the visor, just below the surface by pushing her down with just one hand, and the other diver being on the surface but the air hose is closed and suffocates, having air all around but being unable to breathe it. The helplessness dynamic of the bot is further complimented by them being panicked/begging/squirming. And likewise, the top dynamic is further complimented by them being evil/menacing/predatory.
