The last time I drew Derick getting Zoe-ified I used the copy, paste, iterate method to show transitions but ultimately it felt very slap job and amateur (Granted I was working at a fevered pitch after drop-box decided to corrupt the original file).
The thing is, as much work as it takes, if I can, I want to allow the characters some time to breathe and show a little humanity. That means drawing shots like these, with differing angles, mini expressions, and dynamic focus.
Big words to say, I just want it to look better.
One final word of note. Sorry, but not sorry for the realistic proportions on Derick and his rather mundane sized junk. I did this with Lemmy and I'm doing it here because it informs the character. Lemmy was a chubby little queer, and Derick is just a regular everyday normal guy .
