Sagittal Cross section 2

Yeah... I don't think I'm gonna pursue it. After trying to rig it for the last 4 hours, its such a pain in the ass. I'd still have to model the fat deposits, spine intestines. After awhile I thought about how morbid my screen looks, and how much more morbid it would look with the other parts.

I was going to texture it before making the decision to pursue it, but the issues kept on cropping up.

At least I got to try it out. Well there goes 10 hours of work...

They would. Or should. I didn’t know I liked it until I seen it done well.

I was considering a commissioned piece or a collab with an 2d artist. Don't know if an 2d artist would even consider it a worthwhile effort.

You were at the start of a great thing. Consider doing it in 2D. You’ll find good examples of it done tastefully on imagefap and pixiv

After thinking about it some more, another really big issue is the lighting. When drawn in a 2d space they can easily manipulate the lighting, where as in a 3d model. the lighting can't be redirected (at least to my knowledge). So it comes off looking like an anatomy model that you'd find at a doctors office. If I do revisit the idea, there is a lot of work to do to make it feasible.

I acknowledge that I don't know a lot about 3D modeling, but I'd have said that abstraction and minimalism is your friend - no need to model intestines or spines, for example, if you can just fudge it with black or pink space. The draft image in the gallery of the just the primary organs looking all pink and smooth is actually pretty effective.
