hi patreon! i hope the holidays are shaping up well for you guys. my deepest apologies for my quietness this past month and sincerest thanks for your continued support through this tough time. things have been very very difficult in my personal life and artistic productivity was at an all time low for weeks. finally i'm getting some rhythm and normal back in my life and i am so grateful for your patience in my recovery period. i hope so much to make it worth your wait! i have multiple posts to make today
i'll be kicking off this update with an illustration i did for the purposes of printing, as a gift for my store manager who left this month for a totally new job venture. as a store manager he was one of the good ones and he really held our odd team together. as you can tell by the content i stitched together to his tastes (owls, skateboards, floral, and ironic Modern Slang), he is also an amusing person
i included a second sketch i did for him in a sort of inside joke squatting pose for laughs, since i enjoyed the character and wanted to do something else with it. pleased to report he loved both a LOT
work has been..well, so much worse since he left. we are still stuck without a definitive leader weeks later and the remaining lower leadership doesn't have a clue what to do, especially in these rough days leading up to christmas. we're behind on EVERYTHING and have no idea when we're getting a new manager. it's very stressful working in a store that essentially feels like it's on fire every single day. but hey, the holidays will be over soon and we will hopefully be able to catch up then
