temporary pause on rewards (pls read)

Hi gang!! Wanted to make an important post top of the day for something I’ve been thinking on for a while so ideally it reaches everyone :”3

It wasn’t easy by any means, but I’ve made the decisions to put reward art on a pause for the next four weeks. It was something I did want to try and avoid doing, but the unfortunate fact was I’ve been behind since I got off surgery recovery and it’s been slowly getting worse ever since- just being busy irl and at the lab whilst also juggling other art projects, and I realized finally that I just can’t get caught up in this position. Adding new things to the pile weekly has created a sort of loop where I finish one and immediately owe one again lmAO and I finally accepted that it’s. Just not good for me physically or mentally & trying to solve the issue of being behind isn’t going to work like this.

So! For the next four weeks, I won’t be starting any new reward pieces. It means I’m missing four in total (I picked one for this week already, so that ones in the queue) that I won’t be adding to a later backlog- quite honestly I just seriously need the break. I want to take those four weeks to finish all the rewards I have started/in progress (which is 5) and also be able to work on the bonus base that I’ve unfortunately had zero time to even touch since I resketched it- and honestly take some personal days which I haven’t in a while lol whoops

It’s not a choice I necessarily feel suuuper guilt free about? I hate feeling like I’m letting anyone down by stopping rewards, even briefly, but I kept getting further and further from being caught up which also didn’t feel any better. Hopefully this all makes sense- and thank you all so much in advance for being so understanding & patient with me. I want to make the most of this break and hopefully by the end of it I’ll have actually been able to get the base finished/close to done since it’s been way too long since I had spare time to put into it :”3
