Do you prefer more frequent updates, or larger updates?

Question is the title, basically. And it seemed like a good time to ask after the last update. For a while, I was really aiming towards finishing updates in (almost) a month. More recently, I've been taking longer on updates so they come out more "complete," as in having areas less partially finished when released. Taking more time also means the update is larger, and it lets me focus a bit more on other miscellaneous things like quality-of-life changes and bugfixes that I would otherwise not really have time for. (I have a 4000 word to-do list, and before taking more time on updates it got bigger every month lol.)

Regardless of the poll results, there will be some updates that are smaller and come out quicker, and some updates that have to be longer, but this poll will give me an idea of what is preferred whenever it's up to me on how long I take on an update.

Smaller, more frequent updates means about a month to finish.

Larger, less frequent updates means between 1-2 months to finish. I won't ever plan to have an update take longer than 2 months like the last one did, that was a result of starting too many scenes, and having the scenes have too many branching paths, which I all wanted to add into the game at the same time.

Some people will definitely leave without monthly updates, but it's not a huge amount, and larger updates tend to bring more people in on release from what I've seen. I mentioned in the poll that I was trying for a while to ensure updates were monthly, and that was because I thought it might be better for the Patreon page overall and help grow the page, but I really didn't see much of a difference either way, so I think going with what my patron's prefer will probably be best overall. Thanks for the feedback!

Honestly I prefer whichever method works best for you personally! If you have a working formula, then do that. I think trying to change your entire work-productivity formula based on the whims of Chat is not a good idea! You're the best judge of what works best for you! Please stick with that! We'll all be fine waiting, however long it takes~ ^u^

I’m just a fan of having a whole new, complete section to run through. I will always keep supporting you (assuming game is not completely abandoned lol) so the timing and frequency of updates never is important to me. When u drop an update notification it’s just a nice little surprise for me tbh lol.

I voted larger but fewer but the asterisk on that is the assumption that it doesn't start hurting you. I'd hate for you to start having people drop you every other month just cause you aren't releasing a build.
