Glad you understood the mom. There's the added subtext of her being a single, working mother, which is very difficult anywhere just as it is in Japan. We can only imagine the career hurdles that Yachi's mom had to overcome to achieve and rise up in her design firm to have folks like that perceptive junior employee report to her, and afford to be able live in a fancy apartment like they do. She had to develop strength to become as successful as she has. Since that's her lived experience, she slightly myopically feels that's the only way for Yachi to be able to make her way in the world. She hasn't seen Yachi demonstrate her own will and determination yet, so that's why she responds that way when she sees the poster. But that's also why she cries with joy when Yachi asserts herself at the subway station.

2022-06-08 06:54:52 +0000 UTCyou're right about everyone being different when it comes to being motivated. for me the positive support doesn't work at all. my pride gets in the way and it makes me feel weak. but thats just me. like you said, everyone is different. i feel you. trying to get people to watch any anime and they just don't give it a chance is frustrating. it also sucks not having anyone to talk anime with great reaction as alwaysπ looking forward to the next. maybe a double upload next time or not just sayingπ

2022-06-06 05:38:19 +0000 UTCHey hey hey! They are going to introduce some new characters soon. When they do we start getting a feel for tsuki, but it plays out until season 3 so don't get too antsy. Also, there's an OVA that is completely from Nekomas point of view, but I don't remember if it takes place after this season or season 3.
