Turning Chapter 1069

Chapter 1069

When Yuder opened his eyes, he couldn't figure out where he was for a brief moment.

'Where is this?'

The sunlight filtered through the curtains covering the window, dimly illuminating the interior. The ceiling and the scent of the unfamiliar space revealed in that light felt strange. However, after a moment, memories of last night welled up like a spring in his mind, and he became fully awake.

'...Ah.'

That's right. This was Peletta Castle, Kishiar's bedroom. Memories of indulging in each other until dawn last night resurfaced like fragments.

It was a time when they focused solely on each other, without considering anything like time or place. Perhaps coming to Peletta Castle finally had an impact in many ways, as even Kishiar, who usually considered many things and endured, let go of a lot this time.

He embraced Yuder using an enormous concentration of his scent without reservation, enough to startle a second-gender manifestor who could sense scents even from outside the castle. He did use quite a bit of scent when spending the night to silently express and share emotions and intentions, and to entice and stimulate his partner, but yesterday was truly beyond imagination.

The scent he usually emitted was nothing compared to the overwhelming scent that engulfed and swallowed his entire body. It seemed to fill every space without restraint and suck in even a single strand of Yuder's hair.

In that sensation that seemed to envelop his entire body like water, expanding all senses by tens and hundreds of times and awakening them all, everything was intensely overwhelming. He had felt such a sensation before when they had intercourse, but not as much as yesterday.

The endless, piercing pleasure that made it difficult to even properly think about taking a leisurely break as usual. The slightest touch consumed several times the energy, and just perceiving the five senses exhausted all strength, making everything hazy later on. He rarely thought it was difficult, but Yuder still didn't want to let go of Kishiar.

It seemed Kishiar felt the same, as in the rising memories, his thing never left Yuder's stomach.

The last thing Yuder remembered was closing his eyes for a moment to rest while lying on top of Kishiar.

'That was roughly... when the morning was almost dawning...'

He had no intention of falling asleep. He really just thought of closing his eyes for a very brief moment and opening them again. But when he opened them, it was now. It was utterly embarrassing. He didn't know how much time had passed, but judging by the fact that his body was cleanly wiped and there was no sticky sensation left at all, it was clear that he hadn't just fallen asleep for a short while.

'The person who wiped me... must be Kishiar, of course.'

Usually, they stayed awake until the end, washed together, and slept, so this wouldn't happen. However, during his heat when he couldn't properly take care of his body, there were many times when he woke up like this with his body already wiped. Normally, it would have been embarrassing, but at that time, everything was driven by instinct, so he just accepted it, and after that, he couldn't say anything even if the same thing happened.

Well, if he thought about it from the other perspective, he would have done the same for Kishiar, so wouldn't it be okay?

Yuder took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and tried moving his fingers. They all moved well as he wanted, but an immense languidness spread throughout his body like ripples, making him not want to do it if possible.

'Is it because we did it when my senses were too sensitive?'

"Are you awake?"

Just then, an approaching hand gently brushed Yuder's hair. As he turned his gaze, the man lying right next to him had a smile blooming like a flower. Although he looked a bit languid, there was no sign of drowsiness unique to someone who had just woken up in his eyes.

"When... um, ahem. When did you wake up?"

He didn't know, but his voice was heavily hoarse. He cleared his throat a few times before asking, but it still sounded very uncomfortable even to himself. Still, he had to ask what he needed to ask.

"Don't tell me you didn't sleep?"

"No, I slept well. I just woke up a little early, that's all."

Kishiar's voice was also a bit lower than yesterday. Yuder reflexively recalled last night again and erased it at that voice that seemed to have lost some of its usual gentleness and instead held a rough heat.

The man, who was lying at an angle like a scene from a painting, revealing his bare shoulders, whispered playfully.

"Actually, in terms of time, I didn't wake up that early either. The others are already eating lunch and working in full swing."

"...Really?"

"Have I ever lied about such things?"

No, he hadn't. Yuder looked at the window where the sunlight was seeping in again and sighed.

"Have you eaten?"

"Of course not, yet. I was waiting to eat together with you."

"Knowing when I would wake up..."

"This is the most relaxing and happy thing I can do because it's a vacation."

Kishiar smiled and lightly kissed Yuder's forehead.

"Don't worry. I didn't even notice the time passing while watching you sleep."

"..."

Now Yuder also knew that it wasn't a lie, so he couldn't say anything.

"Is your body okay? Any pain?"

"I'm fine. There's no pain either."

"You didn't have any dreams?"

Although it was a question that flowed out casually, Yuder realized it was what Kishiar most wanted to ask.

'Could it be that he woke up earlier and kept watching over me because of that?'

Yuder looked straight into the red eyes that seemed to observe his condition without leaving anything out and shook his head.

"I didn't have any dreams at all."

"That's a relief."

"Commander... Did you have any dreams?"

He tried to say Commander-nim as usual but belatedly changed the form of address [TL: Yuder usually called Kishiar as Commander-nim]. As of yesterday, Yuder had become a precious guest of the Duke of Peletta before being Kishiar's assistant, so he wanted to make a change accordingly.

As if that intention was conveyed, Kishiar's eyes widened for a moment and then he smiled.

"...Actually. Yes."

With that one word, Yuder was fully awake. He sat up abruptly.

"What kind of dream was it?"

"Calm down. It wasn't a serious nightmare or anything like that. In fact, it would be more accurate to say that it's difficult to judge because I don't remember it well, but..."

"Still, there must be something you remember a little. Please tell me."

The man, who was still lying down without changing his position, opened his mouth as if he had no choice, making an "um" sound.

"I think I was alone in the office, looking down at the sea of Peletta. I don't know if it was night or day. It seems I just woke up like that. That's all I remember."

"..."

"Really, that's it."

As Kishiar said, there was nothing particularly bad about it just from that. Yuder stared at the man's face for a long time as if trying to find any fragments he hadn't seen, then nodded.

"I understand. I'm glad it doesn't seem to be a bad dream. If you happen to have a new dream, please make sure to tell me."

"Actually, that's what I want to say to you."

"Of course, I will do the same."

When he answered solemnly, the man laughed. The atmosphere completely loosened. His physical condition didn't seem to be much worse than usual.

'Fortunately, it seems that using a lot of scent last night compared to usual wasn't a health issue or anything like that.'

While Yuder got up and put on his clothes, the man who had risen from his seat disappeared, saying he would personally bring the meal. He had seen him doing such things directly so many times that he had no reservations about it anymore.

Yuder walked barefoot and drew the curtains. The light that had been seeping in only very slightly poured over his entire body at once. Until now, he couldn't even tell if it was day or night, but through that light, he could tell that it was late afternoon, almost sunset.

'I spent almost the entire day sleeping... It's unbelievable.'

Beyond the large window that had been covered by the curtains, there was a small balcony. It wasn't a beautiful balcony commonly found in noble mansions, but a shabby space with only a stone-built railing.

However, that was enough to go out directly, feel the wind, and see the outside. Yuder opened the door, not minding the fact that he was barefoot. The winter wind, which had become much milder than yesterday but was still cold, hit his body, and his head instantly felt refreshed.

"..."

There was only one thing visible from the balcony.

The vast sea, so deep blue that it even looked black.

The sound of a bird crying was heard from somewhere. As he shifted his gaze following the sound, he noticed a ship swaying in the distance and white birds circling around it.

For a moment, Kishiar's voice that Yuder had heard in the Great Sarain Forest faintly came to his mind.

'-The sea during the day is beautiful, but the sea at night is even more beautiful. When the sun sets, the ships that have been catching fish all day long return home one by one, and countless birds cling to those ships, dancing and following them...'

That scene, which he had to imagine vaguely at that time because he couldn't see.

It was right here now.

Makes me wonder at what point somebody without a second gender can smell it. Unmanifested awakeners can if there's alot of it. But what about a mage or swordmaster? Just curious since we've seen that swordmasters have ridiculously enhanced senses and what mages are capable of seems to depend heavily on the individual just like awakeners. It wouldn't affect them, all I'm wondering is if they could smell/sense it.
