Turning Chapter 1087

After finishing the meal and during the remaining short break time. Kishiar, who had returned to the duke's bedroom, let out a long sigh. Yuder silently watched as the smile faded from the face of the Duke of Peletta, who had been confidently smiling, and the expression of Kishiar La Orr that only he knew appeared.
The fatigue that couldn't be shown to the retainers. The eyebrows that had honestly relaxed.
The scent that had flowed out without being contained hazily lingered around Yuder. Yuder, who had been looking at the scent that disappeared without wrapping around his body as usual, stepped forward on his own and lightly sat on Kishiar's lap. The scent stopped, and the man raised his head. Instead of embracing Yuder, he just stared at him for a long time and finally opened his lips.
"...Fortunately, it seems like this time passed without any damage."
"Yes."
"But it's right to understand this as just a sign before something truly big happens."
"I think so too."
The anomalous cracks that Yuder knew were originally like that. They suddenly appeared from somewhere and repeated disappearing quickly without causing any damage, and then a huge disaster appeared later. Wasn't that the most certain rule of those things? Even in the South, the same thing that was like a precursor had occurred.
"Can I hear exactly what the trade route you mentioned at the meeting earlier is?"
That's an easy thing. Yuder told him about the northern trade route of his previous life that he had recalled while looking at the continental map. Drawing the route with his finger on a smaller map brought from the temporary office and sharing the information that the South had provided financial support when creating it, Kishiar's eyes darkened.
"I see. I'll keep that in mind."
Now, after waking up from a dream and returning after dealing with the crack-related matters in a daze. Although he couldn't know his inner thoughts exactly, he could sufficiently guess that he wasn't comfortable. Yuder slowly reached out his hand and tried placing it on Kishiar's cheek. The man, who flinched for a moment and then closed his eyes, exhaled a little longer and lower.
"Did something similar to this happen in the North in the previous game as well?"
"No. I was going to tell you that anyway... There was no such incident among the things I remember."
"I thought so too. If there was, you would have told me in advance."
"In the previous game, the North was the region with the least occurrence of disasters. It was even more so when you went up past the border."
It wasn't that there were no disasters at all in the North. However, what was important was that there were no major incidents that devastated the region like in the South or West.
When you cross the northern border of the Orr Empire, you encounter cold and desolate lands with small lakes and islands entangled. Among the small foreign countries that exist there, there were places where not a single disaster occurred until Yuder died.
In fact, due to the terrain being what it was, it might be that disasters occurred but there was no one to discover them and the news didn't spread, but Yuder sometimes thought about those northern island nations located somewhere outside the empire.
Anyway, at that time, regardless of the country, disasters were gradually spreading widely. The peace in the North was only temporary, and a big disaster would have eventually struck there as well, but if such a thing didn't happen, Yuder wanted to hide and live in such a place after retirement.
'Well... it's just that I would have wanted to do that if I could have retired alive and well.'
Yuder's retirement was achieved through death. Therefore, he couldn't directly confirm whether the disasters had spread to the North.
Even if he could go there now, he had no intention of going. Because now Yuder no longer wanted to leave this land where he stayed. Anyway, the important thing was that it was unknown what would appear behind the cracks that had appeared now. Yuder gazed at the man who was accepting his touch without the slightest resistance and put the flow of his thoughts into words.
"It was already expected by all of us that similar things would happen even after the South. The fact that the anomalous cracks that occurred in the North were discovered so quickly is probably thanks to you preparing in advance."
"..."
After the South, Yuder coldly acknowledged the fact that the order and timing of the disasters in his previous life that he remembered would no longer occur in the same way. Then, what could be done was to create a system to quickly respond whenever signs of similar incidents appeared anywhere.
The fact that reports came in so quickly as soon as anomalous cracks occurred in the North suggested that Kishiar had not listened to that story carelessly at all and had moved immediately.
These trusts that he couldn't help but know without saying them one by one, and the results they had achieved, gave Yuder an unparalleled deep sense of fulfillment and will. That's why Yuder was no longer anxious like in the South even though something he hadn't predicted at all had occurred.
"I don't think the merchants who were impersonating the Shuden Trading Company were only in the North. Didn't Denny say that too earlier? He said that Mick had seen people using other companies' names like that before."
"Yes. That's probably the case."
"But I have a little doubt about whether the anomalous cracks that have occurred now happened at the exact time the culprits wanted, like in the South."
"Is that because of the dream?"
As expected, Kishiar already knew what Yuder was trying to say.
"Yes. It seems too coincidental that this happened right after we attempted to view memories of the previous life in a dream and saw the white gloves.”
Kishiar lowered his eyes.
"I think so too. What we did might have further incited the imbalance in a place that was preparing to break the balance... as if suddenly pouring water and fertilizer on a field where 'seeds' had been sown."
It was still unknown exactly what the problem was. However, if the prediction was really correct...
"It would be better not to easily make such attempts in the future."
"Yes."
But there was definitely something newly discovered thanks to that dream. Of course, it was only for Yuder, and he didn't know in what sense it came across to Kishiar.
'I also know what it feels like to completely assimilate with... the past self in the dream. Even if I forgot most of it upon waking up, if there was even a little left, someone like Kishiar would have been able to infer much more from the hidden parts.'
What he knew by guessing with his head and what he directly experienced by assimilating could never be the same. It was the fact that Yuder, who had dreamed several times, knew best.
Yuder moved his hand placed on Kishiar's cheek so that he could look straight at him. And he spoke calmly with force.
"You don't have to tell me right now what you thought, what you saw, and what information you gained through the dream."
"..."
"To be honest, I didn't feel good because it seemed like I made you go through something you didn't have to because of my greed to find out about the past, but..."
When he said that, Kishiar moved his eyebrows and opened his mouth as if to refute something. However, Yuder reached out his fingers and pressed his lips so that he couldn't speak, and then continued.
"That's fine too. Because I know you kept your promise to come find me anywhere to save me, and no matter what happened, you will never regret that at least."
"...Yuder."
"Please remember what I said before."
Now, Yuder had no reason to distinguish between the Kishiar of his previous life and the current Kishiar. To him, there was only one person named Kishiar La Orr.
The man who loves Yuder and whom Yuder loves.
So it didn't matter what he realized after seeing the past, how he changed because of it, or what concerns he had.
"I will save you. That's why I'm here."
Of course, he intended to save the crisis in the North that had come right in front of him, the empire, and the world as well.
Someone might say it was absurd and greedy, but Yuder was not afraid. Because nothing was impossible if Kishiar was here.
A long groan flowed out from between the lips of Kishiar, who had been staring at Yuder as if enchanted while listening to the short declaration. He frowned and then finally reached out his hand as if he couldn't stand it and deeply embraced Yuder.
It was closer to a collapse rather than an embrace. Yuder put strength into his back so as not to be crushed by his weight and firmly endured. And he held him in his arms with the strongest force he could muster.
Kishiar burst the breath he had been holding onto Yuder's skin.
"Ah..."
That force that seemed to suffocate, the voice that flowed out without any meaning painfully echoed in his heart.
"When I first heard those words before... I couldn't say anything because I didn't know anything."
He whispered with his head buried in Yuder's arms.
"Now it's rather the opposite, so I don't know what to say."
"Then you don't have to."
Because words aren't always necessary. At the resolute answer, Kishiar laughed faintly, shaking his shoulders.
He closed his mouth as if following Yuder's order. The sight of the sun rising through the outside of the duke's bedroom could be seen. They stayed embracing like that until the sun completely brightened the sea.
"-My lord. People have started gathering in the conference room. I think you can come down now."
Finally, as if the preparations were finished, the sound of knocking on the door was heard from outside. The man who had escaped from Yuder's arms stared at the sun with an unfathomable gaze.
"Yuder."
"Yes."
"The white gloves conveyed no meaning to me. They just took me to the space where you were unconscious. Only after holding you in my arms again there could I finally return to this place."
What did that mean? He woke up directly from the dream, but the white gloves took Kishiar to the space where Yuder was? When Yuder blinked a few times, finding it difficult to understand the meaning of the words, the man raised the corners of his lips as if he had expected it.
"It's full of unknowable things. I have nothing more to say about that matter either. But there was one thing I seemed to know for sure after waking up."
What could that be? Receiving Yuder's gaze, Kishiar uttered in a heavy voice.
"Its appearance is clearly the same as me. However, the energy it possessed, to me... seemed more similar to you, whom I faced after waking up."
If it wasn't an illusion.

2024-11-14 21:47:26 +0000 UTCI really love how Yuder has just held Kishiar these last few chapters 🥺 usually it’s Kishiar being there for Yuder, it’s lovely to see the reverse. Yuder has come such a long way, I’m so proud of him.

2024-09-22 08:49:52 +0000 UTCI feel like Yuder would never fully retire haha. But imagining him retired with Kishiar in Pelleta or in the woods with a kid (maybe?) is super cute.

2024-09-21 16:31:52 +0000 UTCso, we now have two theories or more, idk the first one is that the gloves are actually the remnants of the red stone and that's why they are similar to Yuder the second one is that the gloves are actually a part of Yuder's soul and that's why they're similar and drawn one to another but, there's also the fact that Yuder is connected to the gloves trough the imprint, that means that they are after all Kishiar there is a connection between all of this that is the final answer. and i hope there aren't any more hidden things on this matter and we were given all the clues needed

2024-09-20 23:45:16 +0000 UTCPrevious Kishiar had the power of the stone shoot through him and thus mess his vessel up, the Now Yuder has the power of the stone and can control it… what they both have in common is the stone so for sure that’s obviously the key to the connection to the white gloves and what’s happening

2024-07-16 17:08:28 +0000 UTCI love how Kishiar is slowly becoming more and more honest infront of Yuder and not hiding behind a mask. And Yuder too is becoming better at expressing his feelings and understanding what Kishiar is feeling and responds accordingly. Their dynamic is just getting better and better every chapter. Literally couple goals😍😍 I have never seen a more healthy and loving relationship with such good communication. ❤️❤️
