A few portraits for your drawing pleasure. Hard light is almost never used for portraits because the light is so harsh and not very flattering to the model. It is however great for understanding form.

Here is a long image of Elizabeth to sketch. I've always found that the reclining figure was more difficult to draw than the standing figure.
