Then Clayface just leaves them trapped as faceless clay statues in the sewers as he assumes their identities, who knows when their fathers will find them and reverse the process before the sewer waters wash their clay bodies away?

At least he's obscured from the Empire's grasp even though his new form as become the headliner across the galaxy for the Robo-ringmaster.
