This film capture is from around 2005. The Barn Series really pretty much began with our work with Ava. We had newfound access to a remarkable Dutch barn built in the 1740s. We took full advantage of it for the years it was available.

We made some beautiful 8x10 Polaroids on this day. Those little balls on the deck are sweetgum tree seed pods. They are ubiquitous here, and are hazardous to step on - sharp! They add nothing to these photos, they were just there, going unnoticed.
