Cyc Wall
A few years ago we had a chance to photograph two lovelies against a cyc wall. Cyc is short for cyclorama. Generally it creates a completely seamless backdrop, which can be interesting in any lighting. In this case, with natural light streaming in from windows in a loft in NYC, the effect was quite spectacular.

E.J. Bellocq is mostly known for his portraits of prostitutes in New Orleans in the early 1900s. This film image of Ava, created in approximately 2005, is an homage to Bellocq. If you can find a copy of STORYVILLE PORTRAITS, it is worth a view or two.
