After the success of the pins, I felt like going back in and redrawing the pumpkin witch. It was honestly super fun and cathartic! This witch has basically kept me alive the last few years, she's still to this day the most famous thing I've ever done.

Some pencils for one of the first few pages. For a while I was doing my pencils in actual graphite on paper, but I'm just so much faster on the cintiq that I think i'll be using it for pencils from now on.
You'll notice I use distinct colors for the characters and background; makes the whole thing easier to parse.

Trying to really wrap my mind around the pelvis. There's a lot of planes at work and it's hard to move them 3 dimensionally in my head. Most of these are straight contour studies, but as you can see towards the bottom I'm trying to develop a good shorthand for the pelvis to make constructing poses easier. Perhaps I'm overthin...
