The real fabric is cut! This material is not very fun to work with, but it is very soft... :)
Also starring Emma tummy, which does not come out to play very often. I'll have to get used to it, though, since Perona's skirt and shirt are nowhere near each other...

I'm so happy, I could cry.
This costume took WAY LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE to sew. I had so much completed in January, and then February and March just dragged it out forever... I was losing confidence and getting stressed out both over cosplay and work.

I found this interesting series of school girl art and felt compelled to cosplay this girl... I'm not sure if the artist has a name for her, but my brain dubbed her "Fumiko." A girl this sassy needs a name starting with FU. XD
Burger Buddies and up will get to see what I am putting together for fun on the side right now. It's not exactly a real character, I guess, just a picture I found... But I'm giving her a name and a personality.

Okay, the skirt is NOT actually in one piece - I hemmed the bottom and added the ruffle trim to it, but it is currently just a 5m rectangle of fabric mashed onto my mannequin to keep it from flopping around on the ground.
Shouldn't take long to finish it (once I find a night to sew, that is...), but all my ironing was in vain....
