I struggled a bit with putting backgrounds on this page which didn't steal focus from the characters. In a way I feel like the simpler cartoony version is best (#3). My software also reached its limit for brush sizes and made it hard to get smooth curves for the shading, but I eventually found a way which worked reasonably well....

Sudden onset of the flu meant a few dizzy days, which took me a bit by surprise since I don't tend to get sick. I tried to write a story in my fevered state but it didn't get very far, but now that I'm starting to get better I'm able to focus on artwork again.

I've fixed the broken page numbering, and have updated all the previous posts' titles and attachments.
Drawing mall backgrounds turned out to not be my strongest forte, but I figure that people care less about story pages and there's a max amount of time that they should be given.
