sorry it's kind of all over the place, that's how my drawings usually go! adhd makes it so difficult for me to do all at once (lineart, overpainting, and so on), so i usually focus on one thing and get it done.
that's why background, props, and the character are usually lineart'd and coloured in different stages, rather...

added the base gradients for the base colours step since i think it shows better how i start shading! i do gradients for everything to set volume, so it doesnt end up looking too flat with the shading!
