Okay one final comparison, exact same prompt and seed for clarity. image 1 is without refiner, image 2 is with aggressive refinement.

in this case the difference is so incredibly small i find it hard to justify the extra resources. yet there are subtle improvements still like some details on her fingers and cloth...
