Happy April Fools!

So I have to tell you all-- there is a LOT of stuff that happens before the Kizarasunga ever went to the Jaezian Empire. So much that it can't all really be told in flashback form within the existing comic without throwing off the momentum of the current arc. Most of it isn't even terribly necessary to the present...
2016-04-01 20:40:51 +0000 UTC View PostSo in place of a page for tomorrow, this is what's going up. I've got some exciting news about TQ as well, which I will post tomorrow night once I'm home from work. Quick question: When I post the fullsize version of this to deviantart, do you all want the logo there or not?
And by the way, yes, that wou...

2016-03-23 23:05:45 +0000 UTC View PostI'm just going to leave this pair of mystery hunks here and let y'all speculate until April 1st.
2016-03-17 03:53:15 +0000 UTC View PostA little side comic about Kelu's eldest brother, Tolka, since we probably won't get to this little tidbit of trivia in the actual story.
2016-03-12 22:33:02 +0000 UTC View PostHaya Heyamna would be the battle cry of the Zizumbira. The Zizumbira believe that killing, no matter the reason, results in the killer going to hell for a certain period of time. They do not kill for honor or glory even in battle. Calling the attention of the gods is basically confessing to a sin they are about to commit.

For those of you who forgot Jintu's last name, IT'S OK. He gets the venomy voice from his dad.
2016-03-03 01:52:11 +0000 UTC View PostHarrin is once again Zhuri's dad and Azhari's husband. He's the most protective of Kelu's brothers. He's also a bit famous at the Trader's festival for his strength. Even Mizha likes him because he saved her life once and now he's the only person who fluently speaks her language and doesn't give her any shit ab...
2016-03-01 22:00:44 +0000 UTC View PostThis is the final-rough-draft of Song's clothes. We'll be seeing them in the comic this month!
2016-03-01 21:59:26 +0000 UTC View PostAzhari is very good at pretending to be the well-mannered, demure damsel she is expected to be. In Saengor, upper-class women are only meant to speak with their families. If someone outside the family is present, a girl must be silent. Izhan Ruun encourages his eldest to speak her mind when she can because he ...
2016-03-01 21:58:35 +0000 UTC View PostI don't think I've mentioned it yet, but Azhari wields a pair of swords. She was trained in secret by their father from a young age. Mizha wasn't really old enough to start learning by the time the sisters were forced to flee.
2016-03-01 21:57:35 +0000 UTC View PostWe actually aren't too far off from this particular scene!
2016-03-01 21:54:32 +0000 UTC View PostThis was the rather quick chicken scratch I used to figure out Kizarasunga's dress. The drape portion is meant to be worn over the back more than the front. I actually had to test a few different kinds of drapes with my own sarong. This is a Palladesian design that is considered revealing even back home. ...

2016-02-23 18:32:52 +0000 UTC View PostWell THERE'S a face we haven't seen in a while!
2016-02-18 13:02:51 +0000 UTC View PostUh oh... Did our attackers forget the stripping redhead didn't come here alone?
2016-02-11 19:42:04 +0000 UTC View PostTashti chose this outfit out of desperation when Kizarasunga's man shoulders, giant hips, and relatively small bust ruled out all the more contemporary dresses. The drape was designed to accentuate the rest of the outfit, not conceal it. Palladesian dresses are a lot more flowy and showy than their Jaezian counterpar...
2016-02-03 01:16:57 +0000 UTC View PostRemember when Zusufula made that comment about being lifted? Yeah, this is that incident.
Normally Kizarasunga doesn't shout. She uses her growly voice when she's angry, but very rarely does she ever need exclamation marks. This took place the same night Kezkaramki was killed and she refused to los...
