This new mod properly dims rental units when they aren't currently being played, in line with how City Living apartments behave. This mod also properly handles going into build mode, by undimming the rooms while building and re-dimming when you go back to live mode.

Please re-update to v3.2.3 to fix any remaining issues with the rental funds display and/or with TOOL's menu not showing in Better BuildBuy.
