I don't do it too big to make it easier to finish. It must be some kind of mania of mine, but with more resolution I feel I have to add more and more details and that stress me a lot =P That's way my Lush Puppies comic is also kinda small.

I'm working on this picture since 2019, and the sketch was made at 2017, but I never liked it, I did at least other 3 versions before this one. As the comic already arrived to this part I thought it was a good moment to back to it and try to make another version and now finally I feel it more apealing.

The original sketches done with pencil. At that year I didn't have even a tablet. Then I had to trace them on tracing paper using a marker and scan them again.
Yes, in my original concept the guys were a bit more sexualized. The commissioner made me censor it later (and add the tails =P)

My very first comic I did at 2008. It was my first commission ever. I was payed 2 dollars per page. Looking back I realize that the guy took advantage of my lack of experiencies, he even ask me for many free drawings and short stories to "test" if my style will fit his characters. I was a fool and he was a opportunist.

By the way, it was done using a technique I'm practicing that involve multiple, screen, shine, and other layers. I think it works kinda well for soft shadings and silky or shiny surfaces.

Putting extra work on the backgrounds make the developing of the comic pages more time consuming but I think I'm getting used of perspective rules. Probably the results are quite rigid, but for now I think it suit the style. Page 6 is yet to come.

The dance and the environment certainly make this kind of pages more demanding but I feel I'm slowly improving and I hope to get better doing comics.
