For those interested, I took the opportunity with this pic to apply some things I've learned with lighting. Warmer light vs cold light. It's subtle but it was a good learning experience.

I'm working on using reference in a different way for my poses. Instead of using an exact pose for the whole image I'm using different references for one and adjusting for perspective. Needs more practice, but the goal is to keep the creative process going. instead of searching for the "perfect pose"

This was going to be a rough warm up sketch but my drawing session was cut short when my boss called to have me come in early. So I ended up fleshing this one out a bit more.
