The two color layers sandwiching the sketch, along with some really basic lighting. In effect it's more or less the same as just coloring over the sketch, but eh...it was comfy.
From a distance, it looks alright as is, but the piece still needs work overall to become something other than distressingly unimpressive...

A bit later than planned, but the first draft of the sketch is finished. I'll come back to this tomorrow and do a little extra cleaning and adjustment before working on color or value.
