Bright sun touching the horizon

Unusually bright sunset during a very calm day with no wind. Water reflection like this, when the sun is already touching the horizon, is extremely rare (in The Netherlands)

Not your average rainbow

This was shot in the evening of June 11, 2017. Based on radar and satellite imagery I suspected that there could be a rainbow, and it actually happened just when I arrived. It might just be that I'll never capture rainbow this vivid again. It was quite remarkable...

Distorted sunset over sea fog

Strong temperature differences in the atmosphere cause these strong distortions.

Time difference: 3 years and 8 minutes...

These two photos were made at exactly the same place, exactly the same day, and almost exactly the same time. But 3 years apart...

The flowers have been replaced with lavender...

This might look like a boring platform, but it is (also?) machinery to place wind turbines in the sea. Another part of the horizon turning into wind turbines. Ah well you win some you loose some 😉
