Given how hot it's been lately, it felt like the perfect time to finally get this idea off of the back burner...

Been a while

Not counting the post-birthday "it was just a dream" comic, it's been a while since we've seen Violet, hasn't it?  Now that she and the rest of the gag are drawn, methinks a stream is in order...

One thing I don't particularly miss about commissions, is the pressure I put on myself to finish them within a certain amount of time.  I know other artists can take months to finish theirs, but I feel like I'm on the clock as soon as the commission is paid for.  If I take too long to finish them - say, a week or two -...

Shaking off the cobwebs

After not doing commissions in - how long? - it seems I'm a bit rusty.  Not so much in terms of drawing, but staying organized.  After accepting payment for the first few, I started to panic a bit and feel overwhelmed.

Bad news - I can't do point commissions this time around.  Freelance work has been too sparse this year, and the two contracts I'd been waiting for have so far showed no signs of actually happening.  And based on past experience, ...

August Update

It's a new month, so what might I have planned?  I'm actually in a bit of a holding pattern.  As I type this, I'm expecting to hear back on two contracts soon.  If I get either of them, I may just shut off billing for the month.  If I get neither, then I'll need to have a backup plan or two.

For the sake of drawing something - I've been very short on ideas lately - today I started to revisit Daisy's casual hairdo.  I haven't drawn her with her hair down in a while, because it's almost exactly the same as Mercy's.

So far I'm leaning towards #3, but it feels like a cheat, since in the front it's the same as her...
