Shot against plain black seamless paper with a fog machine.
If you ever try to shoot colored fog, just remember the fog only takes the color if you aim the gelled light right at it. So you can easily have 2 different color combination...

I love doing this style of portrait work! And canvas backdrops are amazing for things like this! Brings a lot of texture and slight variations in the way everything is lit up in the back :]
