After a while I ended up scrapping the idea due to my lack of understanding of properly inking large city scapes and editing stock footage of Japan.

This was the original idea of what the first page was going to be. A birds eye view of city that's getting closer and closer, eventually to the wet and busy streets of Empire City.

Here's the finished cover art of issue 4. I had a lot of fun designing this and maybe next time I might do something a little different... I hope!

After a few minutes having fun with gradient mapping, I ended up downloading a bunch of gradient sets and seeing how it looked. I prefered the tone you see here and I adjusted the brightness of the picture, just to make sure that it wasn't too dark.

As you can see everything's in black and white, I did this because I discovered a brand new technique called "Gradient Mapping".
