Alas, it's the only thing I've finished in a few days. Acrylic just takes a long time. I've started a few others, though, and they ought to be finished in the next few days.

The brown one is old. I found it in my stacks and scanned it for the person whose character it was. It wasn't a commission--just a gift--that I never managed to finish.

Continued work

Did a paint idea 'sketch' on the waterfall. The drawing is bad and the tone needs work, but the idea is there.  I might focus on just making more of these and pick out the ones I really like.  Or just work on fixing them up.  I'm always so afraid that I'm wasting my time polishing turds, but maybe I should just...

Some serious work (it's going slow) and something stupid.

I've actually been working a lot, but with not a lot to show for it, because I'm going back and noodling on old art (and like, suffering and getting nowhere). It's frustrating and ego-destroying work, trying to shore up things I'm bad at when I'm used to at LEAST being mediocre at something. Much weeping and gnashing of teeth...

I feel like I HAVE learned more about composition, though I'm still chewing on the info. I'm struggling to apply it, sloooowly.  That's just the way it is sometimes.

This dark weather is getting to me. I wake up sooo grumpy and tired and only get some energy around bedtime. I forced myself to draw today. It wasn't good, but I was kind of starting to enjoy myself by the end of it.
