I wanted the fighters in this to feel larger-than life, and one of the ways was to give them a slightly smaller set of corner girls. I also shrank the ring by about 10%, putting the ropes at a better height.
The twin cheerleaders are a nod to PCToons, who used tiny twin corner girls of his own once or twice:
