This one turned out differently from what I had imagined. I was initially going for the same jay repeated, but it looks to me like three standing in a row. I quite like the end result, but it's always different from the fuzzy picture I have in my mind.

This is a YucatΓ n Banded Gecko. I was inspired to paint it as a giant in Tikal after looking at photos I had taken on a backpacking trip through Central America 13 years ago!

This was a fun one! I had never heard of them before, and they're pretty unique it seems! I encourage you to watch some videos on youtube. My favourite fact is that they smell really bad and don't move around much.

I was inspired today to use a different size of paper than what I usually do! This one is a very long rectangle 4"x8" (10cm x 20cm), which gives you a chance to capture a lot of different planes! I think I will definitely revisit this paper a couple more times this month.
Here's a little doodle of how I planned this one...
