I've been wanting to design headphones for the Phonodroids for quite some time, and today i had a burst of inspiration to put something together.

These are the base Phonodroid versions, I'll have a Laserdroid variant that plugs into the composite jacks on their backside as well

Theres more info in the included documentation, but here is a list of the major changes from the phonodroid base:

- The Laserdroid uses a state-of-the-art analog optical disc format and has a redesigned tray and door section to match it. It also spins much, much faster.

Color changing

my original plan was to have a few preset colors for the laserdroids but i realized thats dumb and a lot of extra files for nothing.

instead i finally figured out how to do hue shifting in Poiyomi. I want to add masks too so the hue can also affect stuff like the nose light but for now already i think this is a good sta...

Larger disc????

After doing some testing in VR with the laserdroid avatar I made the decision to increase the size of the disc to make it closer to its real life equivalent.

LaserDroid first VR test

testing out all the functions and the new joints with the IK, and im very happy with the result! I think i might scale the disc itself a bit bigger as especially in person it doesnt feel properly sized, but everything else is good!

(sorry for the bad angles, the video cropped a lot from what i was seeing in person, also...

Laserdroid Update WIP

Hello! It's taken a little bit and I've had to redo some work i lost from file transferring gone wrong, but the updated model for the Laserdroid is finally ready to show!

The whole design has been adjusted for the 21st century, the new Laserdroids are rounder, shinier, and built with the latest in electrical engineering...

Finally got the thing into unity! With some updated models and materials.

Still have the avatar pedestals  to make and some Udon learning to do to figure out how to make mirrors toggleable lol, as well as more polishing up around some of the rougher edges, but I'm very happy with it so far!

Phonodroid 1.2 hotfix released!

last thing im working on for today to appear in 1.2, adding a toggleable gesture watch to help people learning the gestures on the phonodroid avatar! (or you can keep it on all the time if you think it looks cool of course :p )

ill add a vertex group to delete it from the model if you want to make room for more polygons...

Full body tracking in Phonodroid 1.2

1.2 in action! a lot of weirdness is caused by my kinect setup so pardon that for now;; it will look better with a more proper setup.

Also the animation parameters have been cleaned up and ones that I could i turned into boolean to clear up more memory.

Just gotta add audio back in and its done!!
