Giving face and legs. And branches.

Finally the worm is turning into something more reptilian like! Lots of branches to make and - who knows what. Lots of fixing, checking and detailing which always takes a long time. : 3 At least it looks more Woodcarver-esk now!

Monthly News Letter #4 01/02/2017

Oh goodness and so we have passed January of 2017!

This time we've got a little bit less to say. So far we've been very driven to keep drawing and focusing on the pages, but a few changes have come along the way so far. For one thing, we both finally met each other in person while Karoliina visited the UK...

Troll Children - Step by Step

We're getting closer to the day when these lot will show up, so here's an ink drawing by Elli of the main four! There are more little ones, but Larkspur and Nightshade will be the ones Jáhko and Veeti will interact with the most.

Deer buddies (A4 artwork for sale!)

Thanks to my scanner, it doesn't properly scan any paper properly that has some waves to it, resulting in a little bit blurry scan.

This is an older artwork which I only published on my old blog, which has after since been deleted (I think). So here it is again! I do quite like the concept of it and I've wanted to make artworka of all YIH's characters in this fashion in the future.

Year In Hereafter Monstep Concept #3 (Scrapped)

This is one of the Major Monsters of Year In Herafter whose design I'm not entirely sure about. This is already a third proper try to conceptualize this monster but I still struggle with it. The idea of the design has been the same from the start, but there are details I'm still not terribly happy about.

Spooky scary stare

Some Tytti for once! :3 While she fancies appearing as a dead-fish-eyed woman with a posture more proper than that of a high lady, she has a scarier side to her too.

Spikes inks

Whether this'll see colour or not, I'm not sure yet! But it's been amazing fun doing traditional inks again.

You're not a troll

Concept art for Chapter 2. This is the story where Jáhko and Veeti will meet for the first time. But before then, there's some family matters that need sorting out.

Trolls: Nightshade

Our tall and clever troll girl, Nightshade. We've not shown you much of her yet, but here's some concept art of her.

She's a fair bit older than the rest of the troll children and acts as a kind of a teaching assistant but she will still join in to play with them as well.

Sketches from last year I forgot I had done. I drew them with the intention of practicing drawing Jáhko as a teenager. And a couple of the primals.
