This one was interesting, in parts of Bulgaria people have festive events where they adorn themselves in variety of bestial displays of furs, monstrous masks, feathers, and strapped with bells across their elaborate costumes.
It's a festival that seems to have origins in warding evil spirits away at the beginning of winter...
