I've noticed that drow skin tone varies wildly from artist to artist. I think official stuff is more grey, but I always saw them as more of a purple.

For this one the client just really wanted a full body shot of Jinkx to show how short she is and give her a cute, smug expression. I wasn't given much instruction beyond that but I think it worked out.

This was one of those pinups where the client saw the flats and asked to upgrade the image to full rendering instead of cel shading. I'm not sure if there was something about this particular pinup that really inspired it, or if he just had extra money.
