I refined the sketch and picked the color scheme. It’s a necessary stage when you’re drawing big pieces (which I always skip because I’m dummy) — take care of colors and a composition on early stages and you won’t need to fix it during the work. Maybe a little.

G: The flat colors are one of my fav parts, I enjoy picking the basic stuff before going to the final shading part. I also love how opposite these two characters look yet they keep something in common.

L: We are awfully busy, working on the Act III last days! I don’t think we will be able to finish the lore-book and promo art before the end of July - TCOL has a top-priority. We apologize for that! 🙏

Shanglanian Heroes Finding

L: We started to work on shanglanian heroes for the first lore-page 😏 Happily, characters of folk art may look like anyone, so it give us artistic freedom. For now we started with a few ideas, we’ll keep develop them. Some of these sketches will appear on the final page.

Falling

This sketch was in progress a few years in a row — we simply had no courage to finish it. And the plot was a bit… no, completely different those times. And now every symbol here is clear for us.

You maybe noticed that Roui’s necklace design was different in the 2nd Chapter, it’s more fletching-like now....
