...so I didn’t get much done. Attempted to catch up on business crap and prep for weekend work but spent most of my time napping. Guess I needed it. Was hoping to draw all day but just couldn’t wrap my head around it.

Weekly Update 06.11.18...

...Okay folks. Good News/Bad News time.

First the Bad News: I will be out of town for the majority of the week.

The Good News: I’m going to finish at least one page of STRESS RELIEF. Maybe even two!

I was hoping to have the comic done before the busy summer season started, but as they say: Life finds a way.

...only four panels but it will likely take me the week to do it (I’ll be on the road for work for Tuesday through Thursday). Still, I think it will be a really fun page once it’s done. :)

As I work out the finer details...

...for the next few pages, here’s a sneak peak at the money shot. A splash page close up (or sploosh page, as my wife called it). Will likely get this page squared away first as it’s the simplest, albeit the biggest.

Morning sketch...

...today I get the last 3 pages of SR sketched and laid out. Everything is already thumbnailed so I’m hoping to get a lot done today. Work this week is going to be insane. I was hoping to have SR finished before the summer season started. Ah well. Still, lots to look forward to. I’ll keep posting!

Weekly Update 06.04.18

Finally, I can get back to work.

Last week was a real bear with pretty much every free moment I could spare trying to get the book ready for print (had to reformat all 76 pages three times, because I'm an idiot and don't know what a .PNG file is [I do now]). By Wednesday night I was pretty much resigned to the idea that it was...

...is done!  So glad to have it finished.  Next page is halfway sketched out.  Will I have it done Monday?  Doubtful.  I have to work this weekend, but no major travel involved!  Very happy about that. :)

Left work early to reformat the book. Will be back at it again later. To simplify my life, I’m making this fist printing a single 50 page issue rather than two flats. This needs to be off to print by Thursday so I don’t have time...

Sketching...

...like most artists I have a bookshelf full of sketch books and notebooks that require filling. In an effort to do so, and to have a bit of fun, I’m going to try and sketch and draw a bit for fun. Also makes for a great way to wind down at the end of the day. If I come up with anything good or interesting, I’ll share it....

Weekly Update 05,28.18...

Big week. As I mentioned yesterday, I will be spending my free time converting the book files for print later this week. Hope to have everything sent off for print by Thursday. This will be keeping me busy, but I should still have some fun stuff to post soon.

...I have five days to get all of my finished pages for BLACK LABEL 0 and 1 reformatted and sent to print. The printer is been looking at agreed to take it on, but the deadline is tight if I want to have them for the art show. So that’s what I’ll be doing this week. Weekly Update 05.22.18...

...I fly home tomorrow! Once I’ve had a bit of time to get some sleep I’ve got eight finished drawings ready to be scanned. Essentially two complete pages of Stress Relief, a Stress Relief bonus pic, and two succubus images plus enough elements for a variant image. Basically I got a lot done! Can’t wait to finish it up...

...drawing. Should make for a nice final image. Not sure if it’s the horns and the ears, but her face seems a bit tall. Can fix that when I get home...after I finish the Stress Relief Pages. 👍
